Artist's Description

Once, in a time viewed now in sepia and black and white, Bethlehem Steel was the backbone of America. It forged the steel for ships and armaments that helped win two world wars, the beams for buildings that transformed the skyline of New York City and that built the Golden Gate Bridge.

This mythical place, at its peak a virtual city of 31,000 with its own police force and fire department, its own hierarchy and its own societal rules, so dominated its landscape that it even gave the children of south Bethlehem, the working people's side of town, their lullaby each night.
The silence came on Nov. 18, 1995.

About Chuck Kuhn

Chuck Kuhn

My camera gear - Canon 5D Mark IV. I photograph in RAW highest resolution, using various (my favorite 70-200 2.8 and 24-105 L) Canon Glass Lenses. Besides standard edits in color and black white, I enjoy the digital process of developing & experimenting with various software.
