The Baronet Theater opened in 1913 as the Ocean Theater. It was renovated in 1953 by the Walter Reade Circuit and was considered an Art Deco style treasure. Sadly, the Baronet Theater was closed in the Summer of 2007. The auditorium roof caved in in the winter of 2009 and the building was demolished in September 2010. Walter Burns and Maurice Roberson had purchased the run-down theater in the 1980's and operated it intermittently but eventually sold it to Asbury Park developer Patrick Fasano for $5745,000 in December 2005.
Sixteen months later, in April 2007, Fasano sold it to Asbury Partners at a $50,000 loss for $425,000, according to property records. The real estate boom had crested. For a while, the theater showed some movies, had theatrical events and performers, but eventually shut down for good.
My camera gear - Canon 5D Mark IV. I photograph in RAW highest resolution, using various (my favorite 70-200 2.8 and 24-105 L) Canon Glass Lenses. Besides standard edits in color and black white, I enjoy the digital process of developing & experimenting with various software.
